Well....I guess it wasn't meant for me to have a supercharger. I first ordered the Kenne Bell for my 4.7 5-spd...3 days after my order was placed, I was told that they didn't have a kit that was made for the 4.7 with the 5-spd. (problems with the Optimizer in the kit)
So... I got fed up with Kenne Bell, and decided to go for the Paxton. 8 days after placing my order for the Paxton, I'm notified it could take up to 6 more weeks.... But we all know a "manufacturers 6 weeks" more like 6 months.
Think I'll try back around Christmas, when they get their shiz together.
We could use the money now to go towards the down-payment on a home....Yipee Skipee
Then it will take me as long to get the money together as it did this time...........
Why?? If they would have just had them ready...Bad timing!!!
I should have kept my DAMN Mustang!

What about Powerdyne or Vortech? Do they make kits for the 4.7 5spd? Call Jason at superchargersonline. Maybe he can set you up. Hate to see a fellow 4.7 owner miss out on forced induction.

Yeah...Jason was who I talked to at superchargersonline about the Kenne Bell.
He was very helpful, it was Kenne Bell that was slow on info.
Powerdyne and Vortech are currently working on kits for our 4.7's....
I'll simmer down soon enough. It's probably best we get the house now anyway, with the interest rates being so low.
I'll be ready again in Christmas time.

notchlx - I'm the one who sent you some info. on the KB kit. (4.7 Dakman over on Moparchat). I had told you a guy up the street from me had ordered a KB SC for his 4.7 last week and borrowed my instruction manual so he could get started preping the truck before his kit actually arrived. I had also told you his was an auto, but I found out it is a 5sp just like mine. He has just about got his complete. He had no problems ordering his at all. When I saw him yesterday I mentioned your problem and he was just as shocked as I was. He ordered his SC kit, sent in his PCM and received everything back within a couple days. Like I said this was just last week.
That makes two, 4.7L, 5speeds just in my area that are Kenne Bell blown. I have no idea why you are having such a hard time with them.
I'm telling you, I know for a fact they make a kit for the 4.7 5sp and apparantly have them in stock and shipping them. If I were you I'd call them again and try and see what's up. If I can help you in anyway, let me know.

Yes....Jason with superchargersonline, told me this week, that they "could" do it with the Kenne Bell. BUT...I would have to send in my computer.
Which is cool, but I had already changed my mind to Paxton by that point. All the while the wife's blood is boiling..
I think it best to keep peace in the household, and put the money towards the house. When Christmas comes around this year, I'll be ready to go again.
As far as the whole KB story goes, I don't know if I got a hold of a couple of techs that had no clue or what?? Steve was the guy I dealt with. He told me I would be the first person with a kit, I told him NAWWW I doubt it!!! There's already 2 I know about now. Signman & the other guy with the red Quad.??? Then a week later Jason from S/C online called and said "Yes" just send your computer, but too late, "I just ordered a Paxton"

I was checking Paxton's website. They dont even list the 4.7L kit anymore. I know for a fact that it was on there two weeks ago. I wonder what the problem actually is?????

They probably listed it before, to see if there was any interest in it, now that they know there is, they are starting R&D????
They have already built several kits, one they slapped on a 4.7 Durango featured in Truckin SUV. Hopefully thet will have them out in December.
We just dropped $500 earnest bucks to place an offer on a house. If they accept, I'll be out of my supercharger money for a few months.
The good thing about it is...The house we're looking to buy has a garage! I may do the install myself having a garage. NEVER had one before... Whoopeee!
