I just did it about 2 weeks ago in my 2000 4x4.
It had 139,000 km (90k miles?) on it when I did it. About 1500 miles since then. Well worth it!!!
If you like, give me your email address. I've already sent a few tips with the instructions to a few other guys and I'll send them to you.
Trust me, it's a lot easier than everybody makes it out to be.

Much easier than it looks.....take you time to set engine to TDC and double check your 12:00 positions on the cam sprockets....also very important DO NOT SCRATCH UP THE BEARING CAPS AND PUT THEM BACK THE WAY THEY CAME OUT....they are labeled

best mod i have ever done.

I never set the engine to TDC. I never took the sprockets out of the chains. I just put the cams in the same way the old ones came out.
