i went to the local track yesterday for a chyrsler drag race/swap meet. a guy there had some parts in the back of a 2002 1500 ram and as i approached the truck i noticed a badge on the front fender that said HEMI and sure enough it had the 5.7 hemi under the hood. so i talked to the guy and he said his brother worked for DC and that it was a test vehicle that his brother let him barrow. so we get to talking and i ask him if the were going to put the 5.7 hemi in the dakota and he flat out told me NO. he also told me that they are going to kill the dakota r/t. i was heart broken. so i went and watched the max wedge shoot out and i felt better. oh well.

Maybe he just realized the superiority of dakotas and wants to try and spread rumors in the dakota community since he owns a full size. Yup, that's my theory...
