does anyone here have a gibson exhaust? If so, how do you like, how does it sound and did it improve gas efficiency at all. Is the swept side better than dual rear? If you have any info, please let me know. thanks

I have the split rear and it sounds great. Not too loud not very quiet either. No real gas milage changes since I always am romping onthe thing anyway. Either one is going to work just depends on the look you want. Also you should look at an intake at the same time as the exhaust

I have a 4.7 liter, but www.intenseperformance.com makes GREAT intakes for all the Dodge motors. Check them out. I have the 4.7L Z-tube. John's a good guy there too.

I have a Gibson dual sweptside and it sounds great in my 4.7L 2001 club cab SLT 4X4. To install, I had to lengthen the pipe upstream of the muffler by 3 inches for a better fit. I also wrapped the twin outlet pipes with header wrap to keep them from melting my spare tire, since the pipes are close to touching the spare.

I spoke with someone from Gibson before I bought my single swept side exhaust and I was told that the single side system had slightly better performance over the dual. It's just a matter of a few horsepower though. Because I have a V6 I opted to go for the single so I can squeeze every little bit of horsepower out of this engine. The duals look nice, but looks...schooks... it's all about performance. =) I love how my exhaust sounds. With all my modifications, I'm gettng 2.3 mpg better city mileage.

I have the gibson swept side and I like it alot. I should have not gotten the 3 inch tubes though because I've lost some low end even with the K&N FIPK. But I really like the sound when accelerating and I like the fact that it's not super loud when sitting in traffic as well as, it does not resonate in the cab.
