Hey guys,
Would a Mopar performance PCM be better than a Jet chip stage 2?
Also with either of these, what changes..ex towing etc.
Which one is the better bang for the buck?
Dodge told me today that there are no PCM's available in North America now, but some are being made. Not sure on a delivery date.
any info would be great!!

PCM is the best, short of a custom flash.
Keep your stock PCM for HEAVY towing. Cheaper on gas that way also.
IMO Jet= trash

It doesn't really change your MPG it just cost more for the premium gas. If your towing more then say 2000lbs for a long distance you may need to use the stock pcm.

me again.. after thinking.. I should tell you what my dak is.. 2000 4.7.
Also, I can't do without the thing for more than a day.. so any idea of sending something away is pretty much out of the question. Especially across the border into the state.. friggin customs agents.. sssslllllllooooowwwwwww...

They don't make the mopar pcm for the 4.7L, and the custom flashes don't work well on them either. ASE and Jet Chip have not proved themselves, see if the Kenne Belle Optimizer will work.

you have a 2000 4.7, the best way to go is
Mike Leach: (714) 639-5220
you will have to be without the pcm, you need
to send it in to be reworked, but, the $250
spent on the jet II, would be better spent
wiping your ass with.

apparently the kb route works.. but I would be looking at being without the truck for minimum 1 week.. more like two by the time I have it back in hand...
canada = great healthcare, bad dollar, free trade? what's free about it?? time+duty = big $

Hey Crash .. here's the P/N's for the HO cams and intake. Just phone up your local Dodge Dealer and get them priced. They were $108 each cam in Calgary. I didn't price out the Manifold.

I just sent Mile Leach my chip to be flashed. $400 bucks! But from what I've read on the message forum, Jet chips are little better than glorified paper weights. My conclusion: True HP is expensive.
File this in the Dah! file.

2 chambered flowmaster, drop-in K&N air filter, synthetic mobil 1, just sent my chip to mike leach for flashing, when it comes back I'm putting a cold air intake, 180 T-stat and autolite plugs in it at the same time.

KIDD- 5.2=/ +24hp/25tq(as advertised ) 5.9= a few more then that. Requires 92 octane or better as the PCM adds alot of timing.

Thanks ya, but I found out today that mopar doesn't make the pcm for a 5 spd..Its available for auto but no 5 spd..weird.. so I am out of luck.
