Well I went to the track and raced a stock Lightning. Apparenlty he had just bought it was seeing how well it could do. We raced and I had a 14.37 @ 97.37....and he had a 14.44 (not sure of his speed). I asked him if he spinned any off the line or any time down the track and he said no he hooked up pretty good. I feel pretty good knowing I beat a supercharged truck on a N/A truck. :)

The newer lightnings run about 13.5 - 13.7 and the older ones (1999s) run about 14 - 14.2
I`m surprised he lost. Good job , man.

I WENT TO OPEN TRACK DAY ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO AND THERE WERE 5 LIGHTNINGS THERE ALL WITH SOME FORM OF MODS THE SLOWEST ONE WHICH RAN A 14.43 WAS PRETTY STOCK JUST HAD A K&N AND THE MOST MODDED OF THEM ALL WAS ONE THAT HAD SLICKS AND PULLEY COMPUTER INTAKE/EXHAUST RAN A 13.6 BUT IT WAS ALSO A 90 DEGREE DAY AND IT WAS 1000FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL HOPE THIS HELPS

my best with my lightning was a 13.1. pretty darn good for a ford. now to get my dak to get to that point. SPEED I LOVE IT!!!!!

My buddy ran 13.2's on his Lightning but he is running 14lbs of boost, elec fans, new valve body, mass air, bigger TB & a chip.
Stock Lightnings are only like 8lbs of boost.

There is a dealership down here that has an 02 lightning that they did head work, intake work, computer, and other misc. things. The truck is also dual supercharged according to several sources. I have never seen nor heard of this being done before? They rented out the local track and ran 12.00 flat in the 1/4 on slicks, but they get no more than two passes on the slicks because the truck eats them alive! I will investigate a little more and get the whole story.

I recently spotted a brand new lightning here in town - one of the local guys got one apparently, because I've seen it two or three times since then. Its a small town, I'm going to find out who has it, and see if I can't find out how much truck it would take to knock off a lightning. For the record, I'm sure my QC is too heavy to get the job done.

A factory 2002 Lighting can do the 1/4 in 13.2 at a good track with a good driver.
