Subject: Bernd, 2001-4.7 IAT relocation?
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2001 4.7l and would like to relocate the IAT sensor from my intake manifold to my fresh air intake. The one in my 4.7l motor is a clip-in style sensor,(THANKS DODGE), insted of a threaded style used on the earlier motors. Does anyone know if I can purchace and use in the fresh air intake an early style threaded IAT sensor using the existing wiring and just leave the original clip style IAT sensor disconected in the intake?

Order one for a 2000 4.7. It is the screw in type.
Bernd is on vacation according to his site.

That and they even have the same electrical connector-makes it a snap. Took a whopping hour to install the sensor and extend the factory wiring to the other side of the engine (includes trips to fridge for beers). Sensor costs about $30 retail.
