Another ebay crack addict. That thing must have 114K on it, not 14K, and never been maintained.

Yea, Art we've been around some shops. Started riding my bike to 'em at the ripe old age of eight, about the same time I (and I'm sure many others here) were standing on a kitchen chair to help Dad tune up the old Mustang or whatever the case.

That thing is TOAST, LOCKED UP. I'd put a c-note on the fact that it rolled out as a MY00 Durango and never saw one oil change much less having it checked from time to time. Yes, even is this modern era there are total morons that don't know what a dipstick is! Just another Ebay ripoff, like the guy with his electric supercharger.

Check the seller's info... he and the motor are in Montana. Anyone been there? Miles and miles and miles of dirt roads. Talk about a "Schedule A" maintenance schedule, whew. I'm not at all surprised it looks like it does. The engine's maintenance history would be the telling tale.

I just looked at www.car-part.com (a search engine for salvage yards) and there were used 4.7L engines available for anywhere from $1100 or so and up. Most salvage yards give some kind of warranty too. I think I'd check this out before bidding on an engine on ebay, but that's just my opinion.

looking at the picture it looks like a combo of body shop dust and dust from roll over. Has no fender and windshield is broken, hood has been removed. Looks like a body shop total salvage op. Motor with 14,000 miles should be fine. If every one went by a little dust there would be no classic rides or such.
