Hey is anyone selling headers by any chance. I've got a 2000 R/T. Does it add the power it says it does? Somebody let me know please... Thanks everyone.

Yes they add power, why in the world do you think people install them. PPH headers from $399, the only way to go.

Hey that was pretty funny.. Can I get anything cheaper or will I be risking performance?
Thanks,

I would suggest buying the Mopar PCM for that money. Headers are not that great for a stock engine, plus you have to worry about underhood heat and more. If you are going or have a big cam with free flowing heads like me, then sure headers could add some HP, if the rest of the exhaust system is up to par.

As far as engine is concerned, I have an airade intake, throttle body, and exhaust.. The PCM, thats takes out the speed limiter right. Which means theoretically your truck can go as fast as it wants???
thanks

If you want headers that will last for any amount of time you will have to spend at least $300+. The cheap ones will not seal up well and may cause you later headaches down the road. They were one of my last modifications, but I did notice a huge gain. I wouldn't bother with them until you get close to installing the M1 intake or a supercharger/nos setup.

FYI-- Headers will help perf., even on a 'stock pcm'd RT.. I did Mopar headers, then Rockers, then the PCM... The headers & rockers did MUCH more powerwise than the Mopar PCM (the only advantage on the 2000 PCM-- higher shift points, some added timing, no speed limiter).

I have 3 sets of headers for sale (brand new), 3 coated, and 1 non coated... email me if interested.

Well-- sure, I'd like to sell somethings, but I also wanted people to know what works and what doesn't. I've had 3 RTs, 6 Dakotas total.. All V8s. I learned what not to do with my '99, and what to do with my '00. I work closely with a few key manufacturers (so close if fact get hands on knowledge with F&B TBs!) -- plus have a good number of contacts in the performance industry. We are all learning here, in some form or fashion--- it'll always be that way, otherwise we'd stop doing modifications!! :P

I hope to increase my product offerings--- and only things that I use, or have used myself.
