Big race this weekend, so I need some help getting a little extra out of my 2000 4.7 cc. I currently have removed the fan(now electric), 180 thermostat, TPS @ .745, 360 cold air intake, high flow cat, and Gibson cat back, and IAT. I lost the spare tire, and trailer hitch but what else comes off easily to save on weight?
Also, what can I do to lessen drag on the motor such as a different belt(no A/C or no Alternator) or is there an easy way to turn the alternator off.
I am looking for quick and easy 10th's or even 100th's of my 1/8 mile times. I will change my tire presures at the track, but still am looking for those little tricks to get that little extra. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

I ran my tires at 13-14 psi, worked like a
charm, I get it to hook up every time (even with
an open diff)
let the truck sit before you race it, make sure
the motor is as cold as possible. I have been
turning on my AC, so the elec fan is blowing,
but you could just wire a switch and turn it on
manually.

smaller diameter rear tires will be just like going from 3.55's - 3.92's. At the same time thinner front tires will give you less drag. cheap stupid mod not to many think about, if you can fold in your mirrors. There's that rubber flap up in the front on the passenger side.

You could remove the seats. As passengers are irrelevant to drag racing.

It might take a little time...but U could get to the track a little early and remove your bed. That'll shave probably .5 off your 1/4 ;)
