 Subject: New Mods Added!!

Well after many weeks of waiting and waiting, I finally got the heads in and put them on (with the help of IntenseDak39) along with an M1 4 bbl intake, 24# injectors, and Crower 1.7 roller rockers. It took a lousy 3 days to do it, but dang it it is done. We woulda been done yesterday, but we did not torque the head studs properly which resulted in milkshake.....$24 in oil down the crapper....but hey live and learn......
The engine looks super sweet, the exhaust notes are way louder, and from what i can tell (no, i have not floored it yet, gotta let it break in first) it wants to go fast.....hehe

I have basically the same stuff to bolt on as you. Just waiting for the heads. Should here this week , YAY !

Cool! Are you going to upgrade your cam (what
kind) or get forged pistons? Are the M1 still
scarce and hard to get ahold of? What about future
plans, are you thinking of supercharging it, or
getting a turbo kit?
I'm pretty sure I've found a 360 I want to buy. It
will take me quite a while to buy the stuff that I
want to put on it, so it won't be going in my
truck for quite a while. In the meantime, I'm
interested in hearing what you guys have been
doing to yours, and how it worked for you.

Handi- you are sooooo right........
Lesley- nope no cam. I have definite plans for getting the Twin Turbo set up from Bernd, but I need to re-inforce the tranny and valve body and re-inforce the frame.....I would be pushing well over 500HP then. Bernd assured me that the pistons and stuff would handle 500hp, so until I am ready to stroke the motor (next year) then I am not gonna bother with it.

well i know that the rockers require at least 50 miles (already done) to breakin (seat in the pushrods) and i think he should give it a few hundred miles for the valvetrain to get into gear.
lesley...... thats all? thats but a days drive ;-)

The guy that installed my sh!t said it takes a good 500 miles to break it in...but he also said not to drive it like a grandma all the time during the breakin process cuz the computer is learning the new changes in addition to the way you drive. So if you drive like a pu$$y then its gonna be a turd when you goto punch it. After about 250 miles of driving it easy punch it for a brief moment at least once or twice a day just so the computer sees that you wanna drive it crazy. Then as it starts to get more towards the 500 miles punch it about 4 times a day.
Don't worry Kris the guy that did mine scared the hell outta me...we got em completely on (he was kinda in a hurry) and I cranked it up and it started to leak and he was like well looks like you got a cracked head. I was like damnit!! Well I put my finger down to where the leak was and it was coming from the passenger side rear bolt...well sure enough he forgot to torque the last bolt. He was pretty embarrassed. So don't think your the only one...he'z done alot work on R/T's but everyone makes mistakes.
I'll be puttin on my 2.02's this weekend and takin off the 1.92's. Kris I cant' believe you didn't get a new cam I mean U already had it apart and cams aren't that expensive and U'd be surprised how much a cam and heads compliment each other.

Oh and I forgot to mention all the looks you'd get w/ the cam...I think I've gotten about 7 people at stoplights roll down their window and tell me it sounds kickass. That alone is worth $250-$300.
