My story? I've been on this site since late 2000. I've learned quite a bit and laughed quite a bit. I was totally enthralled with the information on this site and thought it was heaven-sent for about two months (at the beginning). Then I began to realize that a lot of the people who post "factual" info here really have no idea what they are talking about. So I began to study on it and found several people who DO know what they are talking about (Matt Barret, Duner, Bernd, etc.)..... so I began to weed out the info that was valuable.
I also used to try and post a lot of answers to a lot of questions that I already knew the answer to. I'm on my second Dakota and I've run into a LOT of the things that other people are just now discovering for themselves. But as more & more people began to ask the same damn question over & over again, I just threw my hands up and quit trying. Every once in a while someone has a legitimate question that I can shed some light on, but ever since about this time last year, a lot of the questions and responses have been total crap.
A lot of the time I just sit back and wait for the ridiculous responses. A lot of the time I will post a ridiculous response to see if anyone notices that I'm full of crap. But I also get flamed for my ridiculous responses.
Overall this is a good website, and I would not have half the mods on my truck that I have, if I had not read about them here. But there's also a lot of clueless people here who like to type clueless crap, too.
