i am just sitting here wondering...after reading summits and flo-masters website.
i am going eventually ....too replace my muffler with a flomaster...just keeping the same setup...nothing extravagant....single in single out.
now for my question.....the 50 series seems like a good choice....BUT...i do not want any inside resonance at highway speeds.....well a little would be ok.......i know u probably cant have youre cake and eat it too.
any thoughts from youre expierience would be greatly app.
thanks!!!!!!

Are you dead set on a Flowmaster? If not, check out Magnaflow. I have this muffler and love it. Interior resonance is not bad at all. In fact, you can barely hear the exhaust in the cab at certain speeds. Outside it really sounds sweet. The truck is not too loud and the sound carries really well. I've had Flowmasters before, and would recommend the Magnaflow or Dynomax Ultra Flow by far over them.

I would pass on magnaflow and go with spintech. www.spintechmufflers.com

This is the best sounding muffler in my opinion!

I'm running a 3" single side exit Gibson. It's quiet in the cab except during accleration and even then its not too loud.

I don't like a LOUD exhaust. Some of the Borlas I've heard on the street sound like there is no muffler at all. I can't imagine how loud it must be inside!!!

Run whatever muffler that you like , It really depends on how you want it to sound , if you like Flowmasters then run them , it's only going to vary a few HP from the best to the worst muffler. I personally run Dynomax Ultra Flows on mine and I like it , I've also ran Flowmasters on my cars and like them as well , it all depends on what sound you're going after.

I think the Ultra Flows have a nice, deep, mellow tone. Go to Dynomax's website and you can listen to some of the sounds. I think they have a 5.2L Durango on there, but I can't remember for sure.

If you want noise, go with Flowmaster. If you want power, go with Dynomax. THat's been my experience. I can vouch for Spintech sounding mean as hell OUTSIDE, but I dont' knwo hwo they do inside the cab. Go to www.blackdakrt.com and go to the mpeg's section. There are lots of different 5.9's with lots of different muffler options.........
