Does anyone know if a 14"x2" open element air cleaner/filter will fit under the stock hood? Im really not sure what clearance there is under the stock hood. Im getting the cowl hood installed in 10 days (CANT WAIT!!!!!!) and i am itching to put the air cleaner on NOW! Im just unsure if it will fit or not under the stock hood. I know it will under the cowl hood. Im just impatient i guess :-)

I have a 14"x3" installed on my 95 318 and no clearence problems at all. You should be fine with being an inch shorter. Just close the hood really lightly at first if you still think it may hit.
