Was woundering if anyone knows if the mopar performance lifters #P5249862 are the same height as the factory lifters ,and how are they differnt from the factory lifters ,do they use the same pushrod size. The engine is a '97 5.2 .After installing a set of roller rockers and adjusting them I found that I had a lifter with a bad check valve,it was bleeding down and not opening the valve all the way.The lifter did not make any noise so I don't know how long it has been bad . Anyhow one mod became serveral mods ,mopar performance lifters , ported intake manifold , FMS injectors.

I would be willing to bet they are the factory liftors just sold by Mopar Performance. If they are different they will usualy say so. They don't in this case.

the stock and MP lifters are very differently priced... 110/set or so for MP, and almost 300 for plain factory roller lifters... if they are the same price, get them thru the MP number and save 2 bills!

Same pushrods. I haven't seen an literature on the differences on OEM vs MP lifters. The MP's may be a bit better in assembly tolerances, but that'd be it.

I bought Mopar performance lifters for my 360. When I removed the old ones, I could see no difference whatsoever between the stock and the new pieces - they were identical right down to the dab of yellow paint on the end (right side up, lol)
However, I have heard from guys who are pretty knowledgeable, that there may be internal differences. Whether that's true or not, I don't know.

On the left, the stock piece, on the right, the mopar performance piece.
