just a cpl questions about the throttle body i have a 98 dak 3.9 5 speed 4x4 and want a bit more is the throttle body pretty easy to switch out and what one will i need to get also are there any other parts i will need?

Hey Carl, I just did the Tb swap to my 99 Dak. Yes it is really easy. The hardest part, to me atleast, was changing the TB cable. The clip that holds it to the firewall was mean to me!
I am not overly mechanically inclined and performed this mod in about an hours time total. Just make sure you watch what your doing and after you get your OEM TB off, just follow the same steps putting the new one back on.
I got my V8 TB and Cable from the dealer, here are the part numbers, you will need both of the following:
V8 Throttle Body #53032691AA
V8 Throttle Body Cable #53031556AB
Get yourself a new TB gasket as well, they are all the same whether it be for a V6 or V8 gasket.
If you visit www.speedtweaks.net, there is a good step by step on how to change the TB Cable.
If you have any further questions, don't be affraid to ask.

u have the 3.9 right? so u just swapped it with the v8 tb and do u know what size it is i think it goes by MM but not sure lol

V8 TB is 48 mm
When I had my V6 TB out I measured it with a inside caliper and got 43mm but it's hard to measure with the TQ step in the bore so they probably consider it 42 or 44 mm

ok cool i think ill order sometime this week anything else cheap and easy i could order the same time i have about 400 bucks to blow already have a 40 series flowmaster and cold air thats it for engine mods any suggestions would be helpful thanks

Yes Carl, I have the 3.9L.
I live in Canada and got both of those parts for C$322.00 taxes included, from the dealer. If you are in the US, it should be a little cheaper.

Carl, the Dodge dealer in Madison wanted $225 for the V8 throttle body. You can get the V8 throttle cable for about $25 bucks. Might want to try the dealers in your area or scour eBay for a used TB. You can usually pick them up for around $100 or so.
