Is it worth investing the money into a set of headers for my '02 4.7? If so, what is the best company to go with, JBA?

thanks for your time

The stock exhaust manifolds flow pretty well. Un less you go with NOS or a supercharger, don't bother.

CW for those of us who are going to be installing out NX system in about a month, what is the best company to go with for headers. not just judging of performance either. as far as quality and customer service go too. jba is actually about 30 minutes from my place so i can drive there for any problems. whatcha think? anybody got any input on this one?

I haven't had much experience with the headers but from what I hear the JBAs are the way to go. That is what I will get when I get to that stage. Gotta get my 72mm TB first.

i've had one nightmare after another with my jba headers. I've had three threads stripped and i don't know why. They were in snug when i put it in, didn't overtighten it or anything. They somehow just appeared. I've got to get two of those threads fixed. I fixed one already....so in conclusion i agree with cw

Im in the process of installing the JBA headers,I did fine some blow-by on the left exhaust gasket when i removed it and THREE loose BOLTS on the manifold and two bolts on the right flange are loose ,wonder if that was my rattle? If you do install the headers look out for the HEAD GASKETS.they over hang and will cut the hell out of you,Like working with razor blades!!!

Yeah they can be a nightmare on my 79 you have to remove the left header to replace the starter. Did you notice any difference at your stage of the mods.

Got the headers installed and did the warm-up to recheck the bolts and flange. The mid range and top end feel real strong wont know for sure till i get to the dyno.Let my service advisor at dealer drive it to lunch, all he could say was"SHI* that thing moves"
IDLE ISSUE-----CW
My truck would not idle with the stock 68mm TB we removed the oring from the IAC and used the gasket noe the 68 will idle perfect seem no two plungers on the IAC are the same.
