Subject: cure for hesitation?

i have a 2002 dakota 4.7 4x4 slt
recently installed
airraid intake and flowmaster exhaust (40 series/twin 3.5" stainless tips out the rear)
now i notice a slight hesitation under acceleration.
is there any cure for this?

Its probably the dual exit exhaust, due to lack of back pressure. I've heard of valves being burned out because of it. Although, i get hesitation after my truck sits for a few hours, but its only from a dead stop.

what size pipes do you have running out the back from the muffler? i agree with TommyBoy, it sounds like loss of back pressure and subsequent loss of low end torque (attn DML guys: i'm learning!)

Try something simple first, run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through it first. And see if that clears it up, a clogged injector will cause hesitation.
