I'm new here, but have been read plenty to realize you guys know your stuff. I would like to mount a Autometer 5" tach in my 2000 dak (4.7 liter). I was wondering if anyone has done this yet and if so what tach did you use? I can't find a tach that states if it will work with the 8 coil set-up that the 4.7 is sporting. Thanks in advance for the info.

Ive already looked into this and found that it wont work. I already asked autometer and they dont make any tach adapters for our application yet. I really wanted an 5" autometer tach also, I could really use one for I cant really see the in dash tach to well because of the position that I have the streering wheel tilted.
I have seen one guy that added a VDO brand tach but it only registers half of what the actual rpm is. It sure did look cool though.
