I just did the IAT relocation on my 97 CC 5.2 4x4, and what a diference!! Definately noticed an improvement, But when I removed my IAT from the manifold it was covered in oil residue!?! Is this normal? if not what could be causing this??

I'm guessing 2 Things can do that can do that

1. Your intake pan gasket is leaking
2. Or getting oil from your PCV

Take the air cleaner off and look down your throttle body for oil in the plentum. If you see oil, it's a pan gasket.

It may be the regular gum/tar like stuff that builds up
I think that this stuff is normal.
