Anyone using the MPI intake. What other mods do you have? I'm thinking of putting one on my 5.2 with a Flometrics TB. Block, heads, and cam are stock. I don't want to lose much low end.

As for the standard MPI manifold...we all use them since 1992.

Hey Bernd, I know it's been awhile since I have been on the board but I have been busy looking for a job. Anyway, to build on Wayne's question about the intake, what about the magnum 300 and 380 crate motors. It may be a dumb question but are they direct longblock replacements for the magnums in our Dak's? A local shop is unloading the 300 for like $2700 in the box. Easy way to 300hp with a big TB maybe. The 380 is not much more and I like that hp number. Just a thought.

The Magnum 360/380HP is a direct replacment...but will require PCM reprogramming. One hell of an engine though! :)

Ok, now I am interested folks... Let's discuss this a little. How do I reprogram the PCM and to what extent? New TB, yes. New injectors, yes. Headers and bigger cat, yes. Tranny, probably OK for a while. What about accessories bolting up?
MY mind is running wild now thinking of a fire breathing R/T, still need to buy one, with the 380, some forged pistons and a supercharger eating everything in site!!!!!
Whew, need to calm down a bit and put both feet back on earth. Has anyone successfully done one of these swaps?
