Results are in the top end of the engine. You will be able to rev it higher. The sound is pretty cool.

I think 2001 (Nitro Junkie)

Hey CW, since my exhaust change (remember I did it over the weekend) eliminated the 3rd cat, replaced the oe muffler with a 2 chamber 40 series flowmaster and out to duals with about 14"x 3.5 tips.

My question is I've got my foot into it, before it seemed like it would shift about..aaaa...5200 rpms. Now it seems to shift about 5400 rpms and the shift is much harder.
Is this just in my head or is it possible.
you know how it is ya throw together a new mod and now you think ya picked up 20 horse lol

I'll tell you guys my experience with removing the Cat. My girlfriend has a '99 Club Cab with a 318/A500/ 3.55's , when I first took it to the track it ran a 10.46@66mph with a 2.23 60' in the 1/8(it was about 70 degrees that night)and had the stock 2.5" single pipe on it with a Dynomax Race Magnum and the stock Cat. Against the experts advise saying I would lose all my power I took it to an exhaust shop and had 2 1/4 dual exhaust with Glass packs and no cats installed. Next outing to the track it ran a 10.22@68mph in the 1/8(It was 82 degrees that night)and posted a best ever 2.08 60'. It may seem slow but it does have a 'glass lid , the spare was in place , the back seat is full of a speaker box , and it also has an open diff.

I doubt it would up the shift point on a auto but I am not surprized to hear that it feels firmer. There is now more power up there than there used to be.

moparjoe20, the push rod motors have a different power band, I had a 77 charger it had a single exhaust (nice and quiet, kinda granny like) so I put tru duals from the manifolds to a set of flows out to a set of turn downs, and that thing gained a lot of bottom end power, so I know what your talking about.

CW, thanks for clearing that up hehehe wait I think it did shift into 2nd @ 9800 rpms lol j/k
