They cost about $500 and you will see about a 25-30 hp gain on the V-8's and about 10-12 hp gain on the V-6's.....

Depending on boost level, what type of intercooling you're using, and if they're matched for the engine size: 40-50% more HP.

Obviously Alex's first post was on the sarcastic (and very misinformed) side. ;)

Holy shnikeys. For a subject that's been beat to death almost as much as the 4.7 vs 5.9 debate, I thought EVERYBODY knew how much the Much Fabled Speedtweaks Turbo V-6 would put out. I didn't realize anybody had missed the boat. I apologize for being silly here. I really should be more "Dakota Performance-based" in my responses.

Soap??

I think the reason that Alex's initial performance estimate was so low was because he didn't take into account the fact that they would switch to #3923 Autolites and a Robert Shaw thermostat! If he would have only known that they would probably also add a TB spacer then he could have been more accurate in his predictions.

All of these horses are soap!

Oh.... yeah. I didn't know they were gonna add all that stuff, too.

Well, in that case, I'd have to say that if your turbo is set up to run 14psi of boost, then the output would be double your horsepower. If it's only set up to run 7 psi, then you will get a 50% increase.

But that's just theoretical. A lot will depend on how brave you are and how much you are willing to spend. And the price of the set up will depend on your equipment, but I would be setting aside $3500-$5000 depending on how fast you want to go.

There's a guy on moparchat.com who claims that you can never exceed the speed of your credit card (or soemthing like that).

Yeah, if I had known about the thermostat and plugs and TB spacer, I would've been more accurate in my answers. Sorry.
