is installing a sure grip LS pretty simple?
should I use synthetic, what do I have to
replace etc.

any mods needed while installing the HO
cams? I dont want to tear into it, and find out I
needed to modify something.

thanx for any info!

No mods needed to install the HO cams. They are just Chrysler stockers. You just need the chain wedges. I highly suggest reading the manual before the install.

The sure grip is best left to the professionals. You need a special tool to back off the adjuster nuts and a dial indicator to set it up again.

D , I thaught the new Chrysler diff was the easiest setup I have ever done, but I used to be a tech .If you are a gearhead and you have the book & tools go for it ,if not , let a pro do it.

okay ordered the service manual from the
publisher, one more question (sorry, you
should start charging me) should I change
my motor oil back to regular to help break in
the cams? I currently run 0w/30 Mobil 1 and
K&N oil filter. wouldnt more friction help break
in the cams better?

and same with the rear end, should I use
regular gear oil, or synthetic for the break in
period, and how long is the break in period?
I've heard that the red RTV junk is the best
stuff for sealing the differential....thanx for the
feedback!

hey D, are you going to change gears while the rearend is apart? you might want to think about it, so you only have to pay for labor once.... just a thought

D...I've watched the guy thats going to be doing the install on my cam...he was doing a buddy of mine's truck, it doesn't look really that hard at all, I think on your application you just pull the cam out and pop the cam back in. But on my application he is gonna degree the cam to get optimal performance out of it. I told him about what everyone says on here about keeping the centerline at 112-114 and he just laughs. He has done about 9 other R/T's and most run a centerline at 108 and run like they've strapped a SC on em (in combo w/ big heads of course). No problems w/ bad idle either. If I were you I'd find a guy in your area that knows a little in case you get in a jam. But make sure you know how to measure top dead center and all that junk.

Are you talking intake center line or lobe separation? It is the lobe separation is what you want to keep at about 114° for a good idle.

for the gear lube i used vavloine 70W-90 semi synthedic. (i think it was 70W-90)

you have to use RTV selant on the diff cover, because no one makes a gasket for the 9.25 rearend

brother ordered the rear end, and the guy said
it is the "whole" rear differntial, does that
mean the entire center section, w/gears etc.?
if so, I hope I get the 3.92's it was only $390,
but that was cost +10% so it sounds like the
entire center section.
