Getting ready to install headers. The needed decision is which ones??
PPH with tri Y (plated steel)
JBA shorties Stainless steel
Gibson shorties stainless steel.

Anyone got the gibsons? And could you send a pic of them installed?

Really after more bottom end power and mid range
New 2002 is weak on the bottom end....right where I do most of my driving.

Input????

I will say this for the JBAs, if you are going for looks, the SS JBA uses does surface rust.

My headers didn't add bottom end, in fact I lost some until I upgraded my TB to balance them out. the TB is an excellent way to get more bottom end. I have the JBA shorties, the quality is excellent.

I just had the PPH headers installed (along with a new cat and magnaflow muffler) and it made a really noticable difference in performance. The bottom end was about the same or maybe a little better, but the mid-top end was the biggest gain. You stomp on it and it pulls harder and harder as the rpms climb.

I thing by getting rid of the 3 factory cats, and factory Y pipe my truck can now breath easier.
