I have a 2002 2WD and I am going to put a body lift and a suspension lift and put 32x11.50 tires on them, do I have to change my gear ratio? how will it affect my speedometer?

and one last thing, what is the stock setting for my gear ratio if i have a 2WD?

thanks!!!

Look in your glove compartment for your gear ratio. You'll have either 3.55's or 3.92's. Either one you won't have to change your gears. Why big tires ona 2wd? Lower it and make it handle better instead. You speedo will read lower than the actual speed. You can get this recalibrated. It's not a big deal from what I understand.

can I ask why buy a 2wd and then do it up like a 4wd?

well, cause a 4x4 is $3,000 more than my 2wd, and for the 3" lift is only $200, but yea, so running 32's with a 3" kit, my stocky gears will be ok?

Just stepping up to 32x11.50's doesn't necessitate changing gears. You may wish to do so if, after installing the new tires, you aren't satisfied with your truck's responsiveness (i.e. ability to accelerate at various speeds).

As for the speedo, it will read lower than your actual speed...as CThomp stated. There are two ways to correct this.
1.) Have your dealer re-program your CAB (Controller Anti-lock Brakes) with the revolutions per mile setting of your new tires. Unfortunately, most dealers will only flash the CAB with dealer/factory-installed tire settings. And, as 32x11.50's aren't on that list, they likely won't help you out.
2.) The second possibility is to pick up a module that modifies the electrical impulses sent to the speedo from the speed sensor. SuperLift has probably the most popular unit.
