Oh man ... just had the Gibson Swept Side Cat-back exhaust installed today. I am certainly in love with the new sound. Very sweet. Really turns some heads !

Nice throaty, deep idle sound ... certainly not annoying. Depth and volume of sound increase during acceleration ... but then fall nicely back down at steady speeds.

Performance wise ... don't really know yet ... we will wait and see until after I get the new intake on.

Welcome to the Gibson club!! I got mine installed a couple weeks ago, and am really liking it.

On the performance side, I noticed an immediate & definite improvement. But, I have to say that my performance increase was likely a combination of the new cat-back & my Fastman TB.

A year ago when I installed the TB, I didn't notice a lot of difference. A little better acceleration, and a definite improvement in throttle response. I think that the addition of the cat-back has helped me realize more of the TB's potential. More air out = more air in.

Don't you just love that V8-cackle that the Gibson provides when decelerating?!? 8^)

Greetings Halo3 - yep, I have a Volant Intake on the way (couldn't wait for K&N), and in hte next 6 months I plan on adding a 70mm TB. Maybe wake it up a little more.

But it does seem to have added a little something just by itself.

The sound is great ... course with the 4.7 and Auto I don't get as nice of a cackle as you probably do with the 5.9.

Well, I've got the JBA "Ramshorn" Cat4Ward silver, ceramic coated headers sitting right here. Weater & time have kept me from tackling that project.

And my crowning exterior mod will be installed the week of May 20th...when I get my Shaker hood painted & installed!! I cannot wait!!!

Gus: Did you do both at the same time, or did you get the cat-back installed first? I'm just kinda curious what kind of a sound difference the headers made to the exhaust.
