If you want to make an ABS homebrew intake pipe for your K&N filter, I found a great source. Lowes sells a flashing thing for roof vent pipes. It's an aluminum rectangle, about 10"x16" with a circular hole in the middle fitted with a rubber boot that just happens to have a 3" hole in it (for the roof vent pipe). My ABS air pipe slid in there perfectly and the surrounding aluminum flashing was easy to bend by hand. Once I got it where I wanted it, I bent tabs on the bottom to lie flush against the fender, drilled a couple of holes and screwed it in place.

Your flashing is just that. It is a plumbing vent roof flashing. Sizes for 1.5 to 4" pipe.
Good idea...
