Message:
I'm in the process of building up a 1995 360 I pulled out of a Ram. I've been talking to a buddy of mine who has built many a engine! Unfortunatly he's a Chevy guy, and knows nothing about Dodge. My question is: He said the best place to start when looking for perfomance is heads and cam... Now I know that there is alot of power to be made with these, But what are the "best" ones to get? And where can I find them?
~Or better yet... What are you guys using? Thanks for the help guys. Drew "Quick"
P.S. sorry for the long post!!

Your best bet, would be to go with mopar performance aluminum heads (2.02 valves recommended) also get the 4" stroker kit for the crankshaft, that will put it up to 408c.i. Good luck

I don't know for sure but if you are refering to the magnum heads you can either get stock valve size in an aluminum, or 2.02 valves in an iron head sadly you can not have the bigger valves in the aluminums (at least not from Mother Mopar)

I have also heard that the Magnum heads are the best flowing heads mopar makes for a the smallblocks better than the old 340 heads and all.

Just what I've heard, it's worth what ya paid for it. 8-)

Middy.

HE'S A REAL GOOD GUY THAT WILL SHOOT YOU STRAIGHT. CHECK HIS SITE OUT AND CALL HIM. IF YOU HAVE THE BUCKS, HE'LL SET YOU UP TO BEAT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. IF NOT,THEN PORT AND POLISH YOUR HEADS, PUT A CAM IN(NOT TOOO BIG THOUGH), ROLLER ROCKERS(CROWER), M1 INTAKE, HEADERS, TRUE DUALS, AND 24# INJECTORS(FORD),50MM TB, AND MOPAR PCM. tHE HEAD WORK WILL GIVE YOU THE LARGEST GAINS. i HAVE HEARD THE BIG VALVES RUIN YOUR TORQUE THOUGH.

I just place my heads and cam on order yesterday.

I got the R/T Magnum cast iron 2.02 ported heads from KRC. (Heard its a good idea to get your intake manifold ported to match the heads)
The cam is a Kammer & Kammer cam.... .512/.512 lift, .214/.214 duration.
Also will have the 1.6 RR's by Comp Cams installed at the same time.

Just got the 2400 Mopar Performance Stall put on today so it'll be ready all the new sh!t.

Lightnings here I come! :)
