Need opinions...do you think it would be wiser to get a v8 TB or just put new injectors on my current?? I will run Nos eventually and get a performance chip.

Go for a 48mm F&B Billet TB-- Will work with your stock linkage, direct bolt on (all new mounting hardware and gasket). Email me and I'll swing you a deal.

you said "I dont want to have to pump it or prime it".

the only thing the 48mm tb is going to do is make your v6 become a v6. you see there is a conspiracy with DM. They want for some reason for your truck to suck, so they undermod your v6. something about spending points. evry car maker gets so many epa points (thats any company, even microsoft). anyway on the dak they decided not to spend many points and allocate them to other vehicles such as the ram. more points spent on a vehicle meanse better performance at a cost to the environment. so you see, your v6 really needs a 48 mm tb, as DM wants your truck to be a dog. This is one reason why the v6 sux and you have to mod the hell out of it. now in contrast the r/t has many points.....and so on.

makes me :::::::cry::::::::

Stock V8 TB won't hurt your trucks ability to start up (it's fuel injected, the TB allows more air-- that's all). The 48mm F&B Billet TBs are made specifically for the 3.9L V6-- linkage is designed to work with the original cables, no reason to change the linkage. The 48mm F&B flows MORE than a stock V8 TB, but with better velocity (that's what makes it work better) plus has much better throttle response (especially off the line). I've sold a ton of these-- Ask anyone that runs a F&B on their V6, they work.

rtdkota, i see your selling rockers. I know nothing about rockers. i see you have many different kits for the v6. which one should i get for a 2001 cc dak v6. i have all the breathing mods completed already.

what is the install time? i mean ive rebuilt a toy head before, but what about this dak?

There's 4 set choices for either a V6 or V8

1.6 ratio (stock ratio- gives SOME HP increase due to less friction) for applications below 5500 rpm

1.6 ratio w/Rev kit (stock ratio again, but with longer pushrods & guide plates for applications above 5500 rpm)

1.7 ratio (more lift, gave me 15-16 hp increase and 25 ft. lbs. at the rear wheels on my 5.9), for apps below 5500 rpm

1.7 ratio w/Rev kit (w/longer pushrods & guides plates for applications above 5500 rpm)

The 1.7 kit (either) will require you to knock in your oil baffles on your stock valve covers to clear the tops of the rockers (same for V8, or use Mopar Perf. cast aluminum covers which you can't get for the v6).

I've got 43k on my 1.7s, standard kit. I shift at 5300 rpm all day long. No problems. I plan on going with the Rev kit (you can add that later if you want) when I put in my Crower cam, and new ported heads.

Install time, on a V8 is 3-5 hours. 5 if you are really slow. On a V6, you could easily do it in 4 hours.

Sam
