Subject: Intake Whistling?

I just put on a IP intake with a 9in big mouth. and when I start it up I can here it whistling(sucking in air) for a mile or two until it warms up. Is this Normal? Sorry for such a stupid question...

My K&N on my Stealth does the same thing, I called K&N and they said it was perfectly normal.

i posted a similar thread last week.....i basically was told that the sound you are hearing is the air rushing past the TB

I just posted Up something about my 93' 3.9....I put a K&N on there and I get this vacum noise at low RPMS. It stays though. When its warmed up its less noticable.

My FIPK was making a whistling noise too. I couldn't make the srew any tighter so I put some vaseline on the top of the gasket and that shut it up. Now, I just hear all the air being sucked in from filter which is normal.
