is anyone else pissed you can't get the full time four wheel drive with a manual tranny or in the R/T. Sounds like a killer combo to me.

yeah come on dodge
redo the r/t
AWD + chrome 20s 5.7 hemi or 8.3 V10(why the ram why not the dak??)if it hits 60 in 5 weighing 5000 lbs how would it be with AWD and 1000+ lbs less
were talking 5.xx with the hemi and 3-4 with the V10. oh gawd that would be awesome!!!
5 speed auto or six speed manual
they would fly of the lots...literally and figurativly. then dak lovers who want to go fast with traction
if you want to make a race truck make one that can actually turn grip and stop!!! stopping 5000 lbs from going 150!!! sounds awful hard

to bad dodge sux and they will never make the
Dakota SRT-8 or SRT-10 with 5.7/8.3 345 hp/500 hp
AWD lowered suspension 20 inch chrome rims 5 speed auto or 6 speed manuel. leather of course too. they could do it for like 30-40K too
might as well have a budget 4.7 HO version too

I totally agree with you. The viper engine fits, it's been done before, so why choose the ram instead of the dak? Cost, maybe they're trying to compete with the lightning, i don't know. Well, if the Dodge R&D boys are going to beat the lightning, why not annihilate it. Just my two cents.

the ram is gonna kill the lighning, but i doubt it will out manuver it. it weighs more. also the lighning must have better traction. wil awd and a v10 even with auto the lightning would look like a V6 f150 as it went by in a smokey blur. I mean awd !!!! you could just floorit off the line and go with no spin

drool

never because dodge sux and the want japanese and worse made, uglier american cars to toast them in ever sales category
hell do it to a durango r/t that would work too
but why the ram??!! its not even as cool looking as a dakota

I'm still not to sure if i like the now Ram design, and i'm still rather mad about the I.F.S. cr@p. Now if a consumer wants a four by with a solid front axle the choices are a superduty or a jeep.

so uh......do you think somebody will come out with a twin turbo kit for the V10 Ram?

They better, he he he.....

Those of us with the AWD know a little secret....there is more than straight line performance with these! I have surprised more than one "performance car" through a curvy section of road. It does not need any more weight up front; however, a little more torque might be fun. Will think about a turbo. And yes a manual transmission would be more fun. I think that DC worries about sombody dropping the clutch and breaking something expensive in the drive train.

How many people other than those of us who read these boards would actually buy a truck that way? I personally am glad that Dodge gave us two V8's to choose from, even if one comes only with an auto.

no because how could u choose the 5.9??? no point to it. Its a towing engine that just should be in the ram. the gas milage is awful and it has less hp then a nissan maxima. 5.9 litres should be at least 285 and that is still low. GMs 6.0 V8 is 320-345. it sux. the 4.7 at least gets ok mileage. and in the QC 235 vs 245 that is 1.2l more for 10-15 hp(20 if ur 4.7 is rated for 230) but still!!! why would u get that engine
the jeep 4.7 HO has 260!!thats 10-15 more
and its almost as fast as the new R/Ts and fast then the older ones(0-60 in 6.9 1/4 15.4@87) with quadra drive and about 500 lbs more!!!)
only the 2001 is faster(0-60 in 6.5 1/4 15@91)
