I have a 01 v6 helped on the top. Took it off mine and put it on a 99 V8 same thing. Bought one for 25$ off a 96 ram same thing. Can't tell the the differance from the stage 1 and 2. Different idle and 2300 and up. Not worth buying new.

Here is the scoop on the jet chip, no bull, no reason to lie I'm not a dealer. I have been drag racing my Dakota since 1999. Ibought a jet chip in 2000 about 2 months into the season. The good thing about St.Pete,Fl. is you can race an eighth mile track on Fri. in St.Pete and a quarter mile on Sat. in Bradenton. Ready for the results. There was none. NO change in 60 ft times at either track. NO change in 330 ft times, NO change in 660 ft {eighth mile}, NO change in 1000 ft. and no change in quarter mile. This includes ET and speed. Just to make sure it wasn,t weather conditions I took it off after a test run in Bradenton and the truck ran the same as with it. I also had driven to Ft.Myers and back to break it in{300 miles} before testing. I,m not going to argue with anyone who says they work so save your criticism. Besides, instead of posting a rebuttal to this they should go to the dragstrip and do some test runs with and without. And before some magazine,Sport Truck in particular, prints an article saying they work, they need to take their butts down to the dragstrip and test them. The mopar performance computer was an improvement but works better if your modifications have raised your powerband to a higher rpm range since it changes the shift to a higher rpm. That's it, no bull.

Sorry bro, they're not worth the money. Unless you know a tuner who will completly reprogram the chip for you. I bought a stage 2, had the program erased and retuned. 30 hp instead of the jet touted 17. And thats on a 3.9,,,,, expect to fill your tank alot and you cant get away with anything other than 92......
