Awhile back my father hit a goose in mid flight going about 50mph. He didn't check the front of the dak to see if everything was alright. The next day someone informed him that there were guts and sh*t all over the front end and down the passenger side. Luckily no damage.

Hit the little 3 mo kitten doin' 60! I thought he was dead took him a couple of weeks to get out from under the couch. But aside from missing the tip of his right ear he's OK.

I've hit a bunny at 40, just a thud sound & no damage. I still feel bad about it :(

Going 100! Be glad it wasn't bigger like a deer or a person, you might not of been able to tell us about it.

What did it damage?

You aren't a REAL man till you've split a deer in half with a street bike! I was doing around 70 on a Ducati 900SS on a backroad here where I live. I had just passed this old fart leaving my mom's store when I rounded a curve, the doe jumped off of a hill just a bit above me and timed it just perfect. She landed dead center in front of me and "BAM"! As soon as I hit her it pinned the front wheel against the oil cooler. I supermanned for about 30 feet and then slid on my stomach hands and arms for about another 130 feet in jean shorts and a t-shirt. It hurt quite a bit but what was really gross is that I had guts, deer crap and blood allover me. The fire dept. that I was a member of got the ambulance call so that made things even better. Sorry for the long post. just thought you might like that one. Oh yeah, you know the old fart I passed? I had to waive him down to go back to the store and get my mom!

Sounds like a wild ride ! I had a doe jump out at me like that too on my 1200 sporty. Saw eyes coming to roadside at dusk on a turn and started braking as hard as possible. Got it down to about 40 when it jumped in front of me, let go of brakes and hung on. Threw the bike from line side wheel track to shoulder side wheel track but we hung on and rode it out (wife on back)! Broke its neck, came back with my pick up just to find someone stole it. Hair in front brake rotor and scuffed up our boots, how's that for lucky ? Glad it wasn't a buck. Can't say enough good things about fork braces or braided stainless front brake lines.

I have killed more pheasants with my vehicles than my great hunter brother-in-law has with his shotgun. He is at a disadvantage tho, you can't hunt "from the road" with a gun.
