Has anyone seen any info on performance gains with JetII on a 5.2l MT?

I'm running a 99 Dak CC 4x4 w/GenII FIPK and looking for more power and torque. Have 180 Stat and Autolite 3923 plugs but have not installed yet. Not sure wether to get HF Muffler or JetII module. Does the Jet module benefit the Auto Trans more than manual?

Any suggestions?

I have the JetII on my 98 5.2 and love it, makes a big difference. I only paid $50 for the chip from another Dak guy off this site so it was hard to lose out anyway, but I do like mine. I had to remove it to get emissions tested here in Georgia and it felt so slow without the chip that as soon as I completed the test, I put the Jet back in.

I have not tried the IAT adjuster that Bernd sells, but have heard nothing but praise for that as well, so maybe you should consider it over the chip. Its cheaper and no one has been disappointed with it.

Good luck,
Rascal

Hey man, let me tell you this. I own a 92 dakota with the 318 and i have the jet chip installed. That chip was probably the best thing i ever did to my truck. It changed my shift points, and improved acceleration. I would get it if i were you. Ohh yeah, another thing. Since it changed my shift points, i can sqwak my tires from first to second and sometimes from second to third. Get it and you will enjoy, trust me!. Some other things you might want to do is get a cold air intake and a free flowing exhaust.

kota: What gears you running? Ive got 3.92 RE and 1st gear is worthless. Hate to see what it will be like with 40HP more. Id be burning thru tires if I didn't have the antislip RE.

Why did you dump the Gibson? I was looking into them for a Catback system. Also looking into the K&N System but they sold it out to another company, so im stilllooking for the right exhaust system.

Your setup is close to what I'm looking at...was it worth the investment? Any Dyna testing? I cant find a tester here in Maine. Id like to get a before and after results.

99 dak, i have the 3.55 gears with LSD, but with the tire im running it brings it to a 3.64. im thinking of going with the 3.92, wich would make it a 4.01.

i had the exhaust comming out on the passenger side, but since my truck has a 4/6 drop, it scrapped on almost every driveway. i got tired of scrapping it, and i think it looks cleaner with no tip (expecially since my tailgate handle is shaved and my rollpan is molded in).

do i think it was worth the investment? yes, but im addicted to speed (not the drug hehehe). some mods should come before others, if you want the best bang for your buck.

let me know what mods do you have already, and ill give you suggestions on what you might want to do next for max performance.

sorry i have no dyno #'s, but the 1.7's and M-1 are soppose to add about +-20 rwhp EACH. seems about right on the butt dyno
