Just as the title says. The intake kit from 360Intakez is a bit lacking in the design department. It was kind of a pain in the ass to get the pieces in, with the damn cruise control cables in the way and all...Other than that, I am tremendously pleased with the performance it has produced. As for the price tag...

it's $ 185.00 for the 5.9 and $ 165.00 for the 4.7.

check out http://www.360airintakez.com if you want really want to find out about it.

Hey 5pnt9ltrluv,

How much louder did it make the engine, although I had a bad experience with 360airintakez, I MIGHT try it again... and was wondering how loud it is. If it's to loud I might not do it, and just go with a K & N drop in.

Thanks for the reply in advance

Well, I bought the 9" cone so it is a little loud cause of the greater air mass being sucked in. If you went with the 7" cone, it may not be as loud.

I installed the 360 air intake on my truck a few weeks ago. So far so good. You don't get any sound over stock until you really get on it. It's a good sound though. Good rumble. Now all I need is the 68mm TB.

Hey Bigds02Dak, I also have the 4.7 and I had the 360 installed on my truck with the 9" K&N. It was a little bit of a pain to instal, the rubber flanges that they send are not of the correct diameter, so you have to stretch it to fit over the TB. With the whole system in, it was very loud, even at idle (it sounded like a carburator without filter), besides, the only attachement to the engine is trhough the TB. So I ended up leaving the arihat in place and attaching the second tube and filter to it. I really could not feel a difference in performance (w/ and w/o airhat). For the price, it is a decent intake.
Good luck...

Must be your exhaust making it so loud. Mine isn't very loud at all. Only when I'm accelerating do I here anything. Even then it only gets loud if I'm accelerating hard. Its a nice loud though.

I'm w/CThomp. Maybe it's different for the RT's, but the 4.7 doesn't have much of a difference at idle. Only when you stick your foot in the engine does the sound pick up,,and even then it's not intrusive at all.
It's obviously going to be louder than stock,,,look at it's construction. The size of the filter won't make that much diff. either. It's not so much the rush of air, as it's the growl of the motor coming OUT the intake.
It made a positive difference on my truck,,,mostly in the low end. Plus I feel 'it' more in the floor board near the pedals.
Yes the connectors were tight,,but isn't that good thing? Do you want it flopping around the engine bay. I'm glad mine was tight,,took a little muscle,,but that thing aint going anywhere!

The connectors were a little tight but that made the whole set up feel more comfortable to me. That way I didn't have to rely on the clamps to do the entire job of sealing the intake. My only concern is when I get the 68mm TB to replace my 65mm. Will the connector that worked for the 65mm work for the 68mm? I can't remember if the ordering was that specific. Now all I need is to find that 68mm TB for cheap.

I have the 68mm TB and it does fit. It will be tight but it will go on. I just wish they would make the pipe the same size as the OD of the TB. Then everything would fit better.
