If I want to switch to 17" wheels, and I have the
stock 215/75/R15, would the 255/55/R17 tires
keep the same overall diameter?

Stock diameter 27.7", new diameter 28"

It would only change your speedo 1.3%

But your width would be over 1" wider with the new tires. Cool!
