Anybody know of the best repair manual for an '01 Dakota? There aren't many out yet. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but I'd still feel safer with a good guide. Dan had mentioned the factory service manual, any other input on this?

have the factory service manual 02. It is ok, has ALL the enigines, 2.5, 3.9, 5.2, 4.7, 5.9...

It is a pretty good book, but does not cover basic mechanics on always what tool or EXACLY how to do something, just where it is and how to replace it/fix it. So some mechanical knowledge is required. For me, it's worked quite well so far when I want to know something.

Overall, if you don't know anything about how vehicles or modern combustion engines work, this is not the book for you. Otherwise, it's great!
