Will I finally just cut the passengers side nut off with my dremel tool. The top stud that was covered up mostly by the pre-cat was so miss aligned from the factory that it was bent. After that the installation was a breeze. Perfect fit, both headers fit threw the top, sounds better, maybe some hp gain. On a scale 1-10, the Gibson headers get a 9! I was say 10 if it didn't have minor blemishes from how the build them.

Price: 8 Low $300
Fit: 10 No Problem, Very easy
Quility: 9 Solid
Performance: 8 Normal gains for headers
Sound: 8 More powerful sounding

The guy at Kenne Bell tried to tell me my new headers and TB were pretty much junk and they didn't really help HP at all. Guess when I get it dynoed we'll see.

Maybe junk compared to a four thousand dollar supercharger they sell. But my 50MM TB gave me instant power, stock I could only bark the tires on the track, next time I went with the TB I couldn't get traction, track or road from a stand still. Yea headers might not be the best performance item, but they sounds good, look good, perform better and they don't cost 4k.

Did Kenny Bell tell you that just to make a sell or something? So why does everyone suggest to installing a better TB and Free flow exhaust system when installing Superchargers? That's odd.

Yes I need to re-dyno my Truck too, but $60.00 could be used on some custom exhaust work instead :)

Anthony-

What kind of truck? So do you think the average person can install them without problems?

Have you added anything to your intake and exhaust besides the headers?

Actually I was calling about a the Optimizer II PCM flash and he asked me about my mods and I was listing them off and he goes "Well the only real mods we need to know are the headers, which only make about 2 hp, the TB is pretty much worthless...it does nothing even though it lets more air in, so I guess the big mod would be the M-1." I'm sittin there thinkin what the hell buddy I strapped the TB on and can feel the added power. He may have been stating his opinion on TB's instead of hard facts cuz I know the feeling from a stock TB and a 52mm. But I hope this flash works out...it was only $349 as compared to B&G for $600.

Gibson Headers from TruckPerformance.com
Nickel Plated, I don't have the part number with me.

Yes, very easy to install but hard to get old y-pipe off if you have the wrong wrench and the pre-cats.

Got to go, LUNCH TIME.

All I can say is, with the 40-70 degree weather here, it runs cooler. There is more surface area to dissipate heat. It's all give and take, more heat drawn from the engine to the headers then cooled off faster, but under hot temps and long idles without good venting, then maybe that would create more heat under the hood. But for now I would say it sticks at the 180 degree mark and doesn't go any higher with cooler under hood temps.
