Yes it will, but I would just go with the 6A. If you mount it on the inside fender well next to the battery you probably won't have any water problem.

Yes, I have a '93 with the 6A and that is exactly where its been mounted for several years. I didnt feel the need for the limiter in the 6al

hey mark, was the msd pretty easy to install? did you have to splice into your wires or is it a plug in play??? What other mods do you have?

Besides the ignition, all I have is a dual exhaust and 14X4" open element K&N. It was fairly easy to install and I used to have a diagram on the web somewhere. A friend of mine drew it up for me to help with my installation. I didnt splice anything, instead I just shoved wires into the original plug to the coil and taped it up real good. I intened to do it nicely one day but hey... "it aint broke" so you know how that goes. =)

Mark do you know how much horsepower the '93 dakota 5.2L came with stock? I also have a k&n filter, shorty headers, and a flowmaster cat-back system on my dak, i was just wondering how much many horses at the rear wheels i got...

You don't really need the 6AL if you have a stock
ECU, they have a built in rev limiter. If you are using a Mopar Performance ECU and you want limit your rpm lower than 6000 rpm, then it can become
useful.

There's no sense in revving the 5.2/5.9L over 5300rpm. The powerband drops off after 5200rpm anyway. 6000rpm will put your engine at serious risk (of breaking).

Exactly, thats why I have a 5200 rpm limiter plugged in my 6AL.

Dont hold me to this but I think I remember reading 220HP for the '93 V8. Thats not rear wheel HP though, take off approximately 20-25% depending on what trans you got. I also think I remember 245 lb-ft of torque

The 92-95 Magnums had 223 hp at the flywheel, with 20% loss, is about 178.4 at the rear wheel.
