i have a 99 dak v-6 i like the way that exhuast on that dakota looked in the truckin article it said it was a 3in flowmaster side exit(in front of tire) does any one now where i could get this

Just go to a muffler shop and have them to a custom install, parts and labor should be around $300 or so.

ouch...I got a custom 3" mandrel bend pipe
done for like $120 and bought the muffler and
tip from Jegs (Dynomax ultra flow race welded
muffler and megs 3" to 4" cone tip) for less
than $100....its exits after the tire, pics are at:

Spintech sells a cat back kit that exits in front of the rear tire and goes over the frame rail so no clearance issues. $300 retail price. Flyer available for emailing!!

Iv noticed that there arent a whole lot of people who have side pipes (in front of rear tire) on their trucks or cars for that matter. Is there a reason for that?

Mainly because of the clearance issue involved since most side exit exhaust go under the frame rail. Also they don't look as good when the pipe goes under the frame, and then back up a little to sit close to the body. And most new vehicles have the gas tank in the way for a drivers side exit in front of the tire.

I had a custom system hopped over the frame
(duals) that exit before rear tyre for 200 (Can$)
I already owned the muffler. check it out @
