 Subject: ASE chip for 4.7 ?

Is this a chip we can buy or do I have to send them my PCM to be reflashed ? Their site seems to represent this as a chip but someone on this site referred to a 72 hour turn around. If this is a flash, are most performance flashes fairly equal or is one better than the others ?

I sent my PCM to them yesterday(2/25) they got it this morning (2/26)Talked to John at ASE,They have the goop out and the chip installed and re gooped will ship it back to me on (2/27 and i should get it on (2/28) Marty at KRC will do the dyno on my yruck foe a base line before we do the heads and cams will keep you posted on the ASE Chip.

There is no high performance mopar pcm for the 4.7 liter.

I have my paperwork filled out for ASE and was sending my computer to them on Monday 03/04/02. I was also going to order pulleys from ASP if they make them for the 4.7..
R.L. Stuart,
If you get your dyno #s back before Monday PLEASE post them and if the speed limiter is off!
If I don't here from you I'm send my computer to ASE on Monday the 3rd.

By the way, I will post my new dyno #s within a week of getting my computer back.
Pre mods dyno #s 190hp at rear wheels.

I'm also VERY INTERESTED in this "chip", Living in CA. is it C.A.R.B. approved?? I have an 01 QC with the 4.7 so will not need to smog very soon but will it be a problem?? THANKS

I got the PCM back today and installed and it ROCKS,The performance is back and the Rev limiter: if it's not gone it's set High.As for the Leach flash they didn't have one for my 2001 so I went with ASE and glad I did.

I'll be sending mine in on Monday. I'll get it dyno-ed as soon as possible after getting the computer back. I should have it back by the 7th. Dyno within a week or so. I already have a baseline. I'll also make sure the speed limiter is off.
For more info on ASE, they have a website and a phone # on thier website. They're happy to answer any questions.
