I have a 93 dakota sport RC with the Mag V6, 2WD, auto trans. Its getting up there in miles (156K) and the trans is starting to act up. I am hoping to swap the V6 for a 318. I have read through as many of the archive posts I could and know more than I did but still have a few questions. I am sure I will also replace my trans but which year/model can I pull it out of? I know that when I find a motor in a junkyard I will need to take the wires/computer/motor mounts, I also know it will be easiest if I find one that is a 93. But is it possible and just as easy if it isn't a 93 (94-96)? Also if I find a 93 will I have to do any modifications to the wiring harnesses? I will also be buying a new radiator, any suggestions for that with the 318? Is there any other changes/modifications I will have to make? Any other necessary help/info will be greatly appreciated.
