I would like to get a throttle body but there are so many brands out there. If you have had success with any one particular brand please advice me. Holley? Flometrics? Fastman?

I have a 52mm Flowmetrics TB and very satisfied...really opened it up, works great as a combo w/ headers.

I've got the Holley in my QC. After I worked out a couple of bugs, I really like it and the sound it makes through the K&N.

I don't know how it compares performance wise with other TBs. There is a current post (within the past 2 or 3 days) on this board that compares Holley with another 52 MM "billet" TB. It concluded there was no measurable performance difference.

I have tried to get someone with a comparable TB to trade out with me to see which ones work the best via the "butt dyno".

I might consider doing one of those Jet Chip things with you. Send me an EMAIL.

Bill

Hey Bill-

I would like to get some kind of throttle body and the flometrics just happens to be a few bucks cheaper then the Holley, so I will probably go that way.

I can't decide if headers are worth the $ and hassle though. Seems like they would go well with the increase in intake.

I think there was an average of 3/10 faster on RTs with the 50mm F&B. I guess getting the 50mm or 52mm depends on how heavy your modifications are.

Dakaty, I sent you an email last night saying I woudl be willing to trady my Fastman for a week or so to see the differences. Only problem is that with the Fastman you have to send your stock TB back. My truck is my daily driver so it woudl require you to send me yours first so I can do the swap and not lose my truck for getting to work.
