I had some headers installed about a month ago and I didn't really notice this at first but I caught it yesterday. I noticed on the driver's side that the plug wires were touching the headers. So I moved them outta the way and noticed that 2 of them were cracked in the small area it touched. Should I just tape the area up or buy new wires. These aren't stock wires these are JBA 9mm's and pretty expensive. What should I do?

Sounds like you need to replace those wires. Call JBA and whine. I bet they will make you a deal on replacement of the two burnt wires.

I don't know what engine you have, but on my 5.9, the two rear driver side wires were very close to the headers. At first I tried bending the boots and tightening the wires in the factory holders to try to prevent close contact with the headers. Finally, I installed some Moroso wire loom holders that reroute the wires up and over the valve covers. This helped get more clearance from the headers.

Or go to ebay and look for a set of used wires like yours and them just use them for spares. I did the same with a set of 8.5mm Jacobs wires. except my loom holder broke off and I burnt through a wire. Totally through it. So I taped it together and limped home. Now I carry a long spare wire with me... Learn after a few mess ups.. Good Luck.
