Does anyone here have a ZEX Nitrous System on their Dakota? I'm interested in getting one for my 5.2 and I guess I was just wondering how safe the system was and how easy it is to install. Thanks.

you must have seen "hot rod TV" this weekend. ;-)
the best nitrous kit (and safest) for dakotas is the nitrous express system (NX system).
if you didnt see hot rod, they put a ZEX 55 shot on a civic and got 35hp at the wheels. when NX says 35,50,75,100 ect, that means AT THE WHEELS.
i know verry little about nos, and this is what i have heard. im sure bernd and others will chime in soon

I was looking into getting a ZEX unit for my 3.9
a while back. They said our trucks dont have a
a fuel pressure return(valve or something) and
the civics do. There are some other problems
as well(TPS activation) and other things.
Besides hot rod tv is right all the numbers i
have seen for the kits have been way off by as
much as 35 hp. Go with the NX kit if anything,
but i would wait for Bernd's turbo kits to come
out!

Nitrous Express all the way.....i have had mine for about 8 months now and love it...easy install and everything....and there is a fuel test port on the 3.9 where the fuel line is tapped to get the extra fuel.
josh....why wait for the turbo...get the juice now and then a turbo....and then when you do get the turbo you can use it with the nitrous to help with turbo lag.....just squirt a little juice before the turbo kicks in.

There is no easier install then a zex nitrous kit it's three wires and works like a charm. It will only work with return fuel systems however.
which sucks cause my dak is returnless fuel system, and I have a zex kit sitting in my room from myn old car 98 svt contour. 75hp pills 75hp at the wheels.
make me an offer. I'm tired of it sitting in my garage with out being used.

This is an e-mail I got a while back from NX so please explain this to me. "I'm sorry but we don't have a kit for the '94 and newer Dodge trucks yet as the fuel systems have changed (the fuel regulator is now in the fuel tank). A kit should be forth coming.

I was quite upset when I herd "no juice for you". So if any of you happen to have the part number and can tell me what all I have to do to run the system in my 99' 3.9 I would be appreciative. - Like spark plugs, fuel delivery system, so on. were do they get there parts from? I have a felling ther part of the holley family.
so if theres a fuel pressure regulator in the tank why couldn't I attach a vacuam line to that? is it in the tank or is it external?
