Last week I E mailed krc performance and speed tweaks and got tno info back. So I thought maybe you can help! I have a 2001 4.7 auto and I want to get rid of the 100 mph limiter.I want to know if there is a replacement pcm that will do this.I dont think I can hhave it flashed because of the warranty.I currently have a jet stage 2 but I need more power!!!!!!!

About the only option you have right now is to contact ASE. They have a program that will remove it. Check out their website. The # is 1-714-632-9344. They are out of california. Try Kennebell as well. They won't remove it but they will raise it.

What kind of info do you need? If you had a 2000 4.7L you would have the Mike Leach option. You might try KRCperformance.com. They might be able to do something for you.

I had called Mike Leach, Marty from KRC and they said they both don't have new program tables for the 2001's and doesnt' know if he will be getting any. The guy from Mike Leach said he has tried to tap into it and change things but his computer can't even do anything to them. He did tell me to call a guy that has had luck w/ the 2001 PCM's.

I had a speed limiter on my 99RT but a hero at the dealership told me a secret ok, First you have to have a stage 2 Jet chip, unplug the chip and plug it in regular, turn the key to the on position leave it on for exactly 3 min, turn off plug the chip back in and turn the key on for 10 min turn off then start and you Gov will be gone....remember only start the engine at the end after both on positions

Just as the dealer to raise the limiter due to lack of PERFORMANCE may need to get the DC Rep to do as I did,Wont remove it but will raise it.They must do a code 10 and code 12 in the control antilock brakes,thats how they did my dak,I now back off at 117 MPH
