I know this sounds stupid but are ther sparkplugs on a 4.7 ? are their any replacements?

LOL.. sorry. your 4.7L has coil on plug ignition. yes it has spark plugs. but you can't see them because there is a coil sitting on top of each one.

You can replace the plugs that came in motor from Dodge with the AUTOLITE Platinums or the Autolite # 3923, both work very well. and use a small dab of anti-seize compound on threads befor reinstall,auto parts store have this also. this helps the steel threads on plugs from cross threading onto aluminum. Very Important item to do. and there are no wires to replace, just reinstall the way you took it apart. Torque plugs to spec.. gap plugs at .040

MSD also makes an 8 channel ignition coil that they say works with the factory 'puter to boost the spark. P/N 7020

ok... nevermind on the 'who's tried it?' i finally got in contact with a tech at MSD and it won't be available til mid summer.
