Subject: New Headers....Now its Quieter?
IP: Logged

Message:
It seems like once I got my JBA headers installed the rumble it used to have seems to have disappeared and its hardly noticable while I'm driving. When I start it up or rev it, it sounds tough but doesn't have the roar it did even at higher RPM's either. What happened?

Oh yeah I can definatley tell the difference...w/ that 52mm TB I put on it really breaths and gets it out fast and it was noticable to me. Just puzzled why it lost its killer sound in places it normally would turn peoples heads.

You'll really appreciate them if you do a TB upgrade, they balance each other out. I've got nice quick response at all levels now.

Well the dealer told me any mod I do to my engine voids the engine warranty but not the power train warranty or the warranty on the rest of the truck.

What about these new H.O cams everyone is talkin about getting? Since they are Mopar, they should not void the warranty???? Right???

they are for the 4.7's and since they are stock in the HO engines and dont put out enough power to damage anything they sould be fine. if a dodge tech ever pulled the heads he might not even notice the differance in cams.

Actually the guy told me one time whatever you put on it aftermarket or mopar it doesn't void the warranty unless something goes wrong due to what you modified on it. He said ANY high performance part you put on it voids it if it causes a problem. He said that about the M-1
intake which is a Mopar product.
