Claims he can't return it to stock setting - is this true ? I never had pinging even when towing camper to the races in July with AC on.My complaint was once in a great while motor cuts out for a fraction of a second (also had intermittent problem with intermittent wipers for first half year, then cleared up by itself) He says this is an engine enhancement, doesn't think it retards spark but I've heard otherwise. What upgrades can I do that won't cut low end torque for trailer hauling ? Have drop in K&N, don't want 180 thermostat (need to clear ice off windshied,New England)Can PCM be flashed back to original if I lean on him ? Hope I'm still outpulling my vortec buddies. Will try IAT in spring.2K 4.7 RC 4x4

Nothing to worry about. The flash for the timing retard was for the 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 engines.

Regarding the 180 degree Robert Shaw T-Stat..
I reside in upstate NY and opted to go with the 180 Robert Shaw T-Stat on my 4.7 L and I can tell you that I have way lots of heat in the cab and no problem with lack of heat since the T-Stat change. The inside of the truck gets HOT even on the colder days. Don't be concerned about the 180 degree T-Stat and colder weather.

Thanks! Anyone know what this flash did ? Think its safe to get rid of the clutch fan and just rely on the electric one ? I have the two fan set up.
